Just Rambling

Wow, I feel good right now! I went in for a spinal last Friday. The female doctor was the one to do the procedure again this time. She is so careful and thorough. She didn't hit any nerves and it was all over in 1/2 hour to forty minutes. I have to spend the next hour on my back. The nurse told me that it used to be 8 hours for a spinal tap! Wouldn't that stink?

Anyway, I felt tired and rested the rest of Friday. I feel like my body weights 1000 lbs. But, I felt better the next day and I've been feeling good ever since.

My mom and dad are here and we went shopping on Saturday and all of us went to church on Sunday. Fun!

I'm learning to walk with one crutch. It's a graduation! I can walk pretty much walk everywhere but I'm a little off balance still. Even so, it's such a blessing.

Another first is that I drove for the first time the other day. My Dad was along and he said I did great. It's so nice to get back some normal in my life. Thank you, Father.

White everywhere

I just took these off my porch a few minutes ago. That is the 1/2 finished playhouse in the distance. Isn't this snow gorgeous?

We got lots of snow yesterday. It was coming down fast and furious most of the day. I love the heavy, wet snows of spring.

Today was good

My spinal was at 1:00 this afternoon. I had a new doctor from the St Cloud hospital. She was so nice and very capable. My spinal tap was the easiest (If you can ever call a spinal easy) it has ever been. Thank you God!

I don't recommend my weight loss system but today I stepped on the scale at the doctors and I have lost 62 lbs! I was wearing some jeans that I thought were o.k. and as I got out of my wheelchair Dan said I looked like a gang banger with a load in my pants. :) I guess I'll take the weight loss but definitely would have chosen a different way to get here.

I'm starting to get a little hair but I look like a cue ball from a ways away. Maybe by summer...

It's tap time again

It's here again. I go to the hospital tomorrow at 1pm. Why does time go so quickly when it concerns my spinal taps every two weeks?

I desire your prayers more than anything. I can't thank everyone enough for all of that "knee" time even if you are not on your knees but behind the wheel, or at work, or or fixing lunch for your kids.

I desire to be done with all this cancer stuff soon. I want to live life and love God and be the best wife and mother I can be.

God help me to believe in the miracles you show me each day.

A day of fun

We are headed down to the science museum today and then we will pick up my sister, Carleen at the airport this evening. We were going through Garrison when we saw all these planes on the frozen lake Mill lacs. They had a nice runway plowed and several planes came in while we were there.

Notice the little blankies covering the engines keeping them warm. Also, some have propeller covers.

Never found out why they were there maybe to show off their planes. They sure were pretty.
